I love drawing stores and shopfronts, and it was a joy to research buildings going back to the earliest days of photography for this piece about Royal Warrants. Like the antiques centres piece, the brief here was for a frieze to run along the bottom of two spreads. I thought it would be fun to show royal warrants through the ages; from their beginnings under Elizabeth I, all the way to our current Queen, spotted leaving some Mayfair emporium with an endorsed bag of goodies.
